Bunko Club

Join us for BUNKO!

No experience and no set number of players required. We’ll play with however many ladies come.

Players need not be residents so friends are welcome too.

We meet Wednesdays once a month in the library at the club from 6:30 until 9 pm.

Its $10 for the pot and you may order dinner from the club.

After prizes are awarded, we enjoy a dessert brought by last month’s big winner.

Mens Golf Association

The purpose of this Association is the promotion of good fellowship and sportsmanship amount its members and to encourage the active participation among its members in social events and playing golf tournaments.  To encourage conformance to the USGA Rules of Golf by creating a representative authority.  To maintain a uniform system of handicapping as set forth in the USGA Handicap System and issue USGA Handicap Indexes to the members.  To provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct club competitions.

The Mens Golf Association has taken a very forward thinking approach to our competitions and league management. We utilize golf genius for all our events which brings a variety of fun formats to play, as well as live mobile scoring.

Senior Mens Golf Association

The purpose of the SMGA is to support the golfing activities of the Senior Men and to foster fellowship and sportsmanship among the Senior members while operating as a non-profit organization.

Members must be at least 55 years of age, a full or annual Weston Lakes golfing member, resident or non-resident. The annual membership is $35.00 for the fiscal year beginning January 1st of each year.

Our Senior play days are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am shotgun.  Just show up and draw a number for team pairings.  The cost for each play day is $5.00 and the money distributed among the winning teams. There are different formats played for these play days.

To compete in a SMGA tournament a Member must be a current SMGA Member and have a current Weston Lakes CC handicap as defined by USGA guidelines established by playing from the gold or red tees at WLCC (A minimum of ten (10) scores from the player’s choice of tees must be posted on the WLCC handicap computer system within the last 20 posted rounds or in a USGA recognized handicap tracking system where the member can provide a USGA Handicap card and/or a print out of all posted scores upon request of a board member.) At the discretion of the President or board approval, an exception to the above rule may be made in the event of work related issues, extended travel or medical issues which caused limited play.

We are also members of the Westside Senior Interclub Golf Association where we visit other clubs during the year for tournaments using the Stableford format. You may visit the following website for more information: www.wsiga.org.

Women’s Association

The Weston Lakes Women’s Association is a social organization organized in the mid 1980’s to promote fellowship among its members and to encourage participation in the social activities of the association and the Weston Lakes Country Club.  Monthly meeting (except July and August) are held at 10 am on the third Tuesday of each month at the Country Club and include a business meeting and a program of interest to the members.  Annual dues are $30 and are payable in January.

The Weston Lakes Women’s Association founded a nonprofit corporation under the name of Weston Lakes Women’s Association Community Foundation for the purpose of managing and distributing funds to community organizations and scholarships to high school graduating seniors in the Fulshear-Simonton area.

Some of the annual fundraisers include the Annual 5-k Walk-a-thon, the Christmas Home Tour in December, and the Community Challenge mailout.
