The purpose of the SMGA is to support the golfing activities of the Senior Men and to foster fellowship and sportsmanship among the Senior members while operating as a non-profit organization.

Members must be at least 50 years of age, a full or annual Weston Lakes golfing member, resident or non-resident. The annual membership is $25.00 for the fiscal year beginning November 1 of each year.

Our Senior play days are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am shotgun and Saturdays with tee times from 9:00 to 10:00 am. On Tuesday and Thursday just show up and draw a number for team pairings. For Saturday you must call in and/or sign up in the pro shop no more than a week in advance and random tee times will be drawn on Fridays and you will be notified of your tee time by email or you may call the pro shop. We have special reservations on Saturday for those members who are working and cannot usual play during the week. The cost for each play day is $5.00 and the money distributed among the winning teams. There are different formats played for these play days.

Member/Guest – 4-18-09
Redball – 6-20-09
Ringer – 8-22/23-09
Club Championship – 10-2/3-09
Weston Cup – 11-14/15-09

To compete in a SMGA tournament a Member must participate in a Minimum of Six regular Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday play days, using the gold tees, for the previous Three months preceding the tournament. Those six scores must be posted on the pro shop computer for verification. At the discretion of the President or board approval, an exception to the above rule may be made in the event of work related issues, entended travel or medical issues which caused limited play.

We are also members of the Westside Senior Interclub Golf Association where we visit other clubs during the year for tournaments using the Stableford format. You may visit the following website for more information: www.wsiga.org.
